What an Amazing Hotel to Stay!

Introduction

This week, we will host the couple known with their passion for travelling around the world in our class. They are mad about seeing new, but more importantly seeing the most interesting places. In each place which they go, they get people’s opinions about their next stations. This time they will ask for your ideas.

If you like travelling, you have to like staying at hotels or you have to find hotels that you will like. Our couple; however, usually complains about the ordinary hotels that they stay at, because they look for interesting, amazing and creative places. They need help from you about it!

Task

In order to help them, you should take a look at kinds of the most interesting and/or amazing hotels. You are supposed to choose your two favorite ones and then you are going to introduce them to our couple in a detailed way in our meeting. At the end of the day, they will choose the best advertised hotel. Remember, even if you advertise the same hotel(s) with the other group(s), our couple will choose the group who has presented it in the best way.

Process

Step 1:

Before starting, you should imagine yourself as one of the most successful advertiser in the world.

Step 2:

Then, you need to decide your colleagues. Create a group of 4.

Step 3:

Now, you are supposed to search for the most interesting /unusual/ amazing hotels around the world. Make a short list for the names and the places of the hotels which looks attractive to you.

Step 4:

After you have done your preliminary research, you need to choose best two hotels from your list. You need more comprehensive research for them. You are supposed to find out answers for the following questions:

  1. When were they built?
  2. What services/activities do they have?
  3. What makes them special?
  4. How much does it coast to stay in such a hotel?
  5. Are they open throughout the whole year or are they seasonal hotels?

Step 5:

By using the information that you have found, create short video-clips and/or posters to advertise your hotels to our guest. It will be better to use different pictures from the hotels. You can even add some guests’ comments about staying that hotel(s) if you can find any.

Step 6:

Present your video-clip(s) or poster(s) in the class. Each group has 8 minutes to introduce their hotels.

Conclusion

Congratulations!

You did a great job. As you have learnt from this task, there are lots of different creative ideas around the world. If you want to join in these creative architectures or designers in the future, you may want to start with take a look at hotel guests’ most interesting requests from the hotel owners from the source below. If any interesting idea comes to your mind, feel free to create your own hotel. You can write about the characteristic features of the most interesting hotel in your mind.
