Panamanian Tourism and Hospitality

Introduction

Thousands of tourists visit Panama every year from all over the world. There's a lot of stuff to see and do here. Near Panama City the top destinations are the Panama Canal, the ruins of Old Panama, and the Colonial Casco Viejo section of Panama City. Panama has beaches on both the Pacific and Atlantic coasts, world-class sport fishing, scuba diving, and is a mecca for bird watchers from around the world. You can zip-line through the jungle canopy in El Valle, taste the best coffee in the world in Boquete, or snorkel around perfect coral reefs in Bocas del Toro. From cosmopolitan Panama City to sleepy little one-horse towns in the middle of nowhere, every corner of Panama has something to offer tourists and visitors.Students in tourism must know and manage the types of tourism Panama offers as well as the accommodation we have in our country.

Task

Your tasks as you complete this project will be:

  • To be able to offer the different types of touristic activities our country may offer
  • To offer the appropriate accommodation tourists need for the activities they would like to enjoy in Panama
Process

In order to complete your tasks you must develop the following:

  • Investigate about different types of tourism that can be developed in our country.
  • Choose three to develop.
  • Prepare brochures that explain in detail the types of tourism you have chosen and illustrate them.
  • According to these types of tourism book a hotel that fits the needs of these tourists.
  • Prepare an email or letter to offer activities tourists could enjoy and the appropriate accommodation they would need.
  • Attach to each letter the booking hotel form printed from the web page.
