Introduction
World War 2 was a large conflict took place from 1939 to 1945 and involved most of the countries in the world. Students will discover information about this war such as why it started, who was involved, and how the conflict was resolved.
Task
Students will visit internet resources to learn more about World War 2. As students visit these resources, they will answer guiding questions about the topic
1) How did WW2 start? Who were the two main countries during this conflict?
2) Which countries were involved during WW2? Which were Allies and Which were Axis'?
3) How did the war effect people?
4) What role did women play during WW2?
5) What were some major events during WW2?
Process
1) Students will be split in groups of 3 to 4.
2) Each group will be given a list of guiding questions to answer about WW2.
3) Each small group will work together to answer the questions.
Evaluation
After each group completes the guiding questions, they will take their answers and write an entry into their academic journals about what they have learned about WW2 and their thoughts on how the war affected people and how they would feel if they had lived during this time.
