It is a global reminder that science not only drives technological and medical advances but also fosters informed public debate, international solidarity and collective action against challenges such as poverty, health crises and climate change. The 2024 theme “Why Science Matters- Engaging Minds and Empowering Futures” highlights the importance of making scientific knowledge accessible and inspiring all, especially young people, to contribute to our shared future.
You will work to explore how Food Science supports Peace and Development. By improving food security, Food Science ensures safe storage and processing of food, helping to reduce hunger and food waste. Through scientific innovation, it makes nutritious food more accessible, promoting a fairer, healthier and more sustainable world for all.
