Introduction

Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) encourage the identification, protection and preservation of cultural and natural heritage around the world. Places as unique as the wilds of East Africa’s Serengeti, the Pyramids of Egypt, Yosemite, the Great Barrier Reef, make up some of our world’s cultural landscape.These places, belong to all the peoples of the world to tour. One way to share the wonder of these sites is through tourism promotion. In this WebQuest, explore these sites and share your knowledge with the world through a professional promotional product.

Task

Today, we will to visit these sites in our virtual WebQuest tour of World Heritage Sites.

You had to find one World Heritage Site that you believe would make a good virtual travel destination.You may work independently, with a partner, group or team to research the sites and complete the assignment

You had to produce a promotional brochures, market the site in a way that you believe would most effectively and efficiently communicate to a tourist, the cultural or natural wonders of the site.

You must research the location of the chosen World Heritage Site in order to produce a promotional tourism flyer: poster, brochure, PowerPoint presentation, Web page, blog, video, Podcast, Google Earth tour, or other media

    3. Include in your final promotional piece the Patrimonio logo or use the UNESCO logo found here at http://whc.unesco.org/en/emblem/
    4. Research the chosen site using results from websites searched by UNESCO.org, whc.unesco.org, Google.com, Encyclopedia.com, Encarta.com, Google Earth, Britannica.com (http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/648327/World-Heritage-site) and Wikipedia and other appropriate sites. You must cite these web pages and credit all photos and authors.
