Wonder....Choose Kind

Introduction

You are about to read Wonder by R.J. Palacio, which is a book about a boy named August (Auggie) who is about to attend school for the first time because of difficulties he has.  You will see the choices that are made and how they affect everyone.  So enjoy and chose kind.

Task

Each day you will read a certain number of chapters/pages that your teacher will identify.  Once that reading is complete log on and answer the questions provided.  Do well and remember, chose kind.

Process

Day 1:

Day 5:

  1. What is Summers reaction to Julian having a crush on her?
  2. What was Jack Will's response to giving a tour to August?
  3. How does Jack describe Julian?

Day 6:

  1. What was Jacks mothers reaction to Augusts face being Photoshopped out of the class picture?
  2. What is "The War" about?
  3. Which kids are on Jack's side?

Day 7:

  1. What is Justin's reaction to August the first time they meet?
  2. How does Justin handle the bus stop situation?
  3. Describe how the spud lamp works.

Day 8:

  1. How does Daisy dying affect the family?
  2. Why did Miranda step down from the lead roll?
  3. What happened to August when he was younger that has him nervous about the retreat?

Day 9:

  1. What are the students from the other schools reaction to August?
  2. What was Amos's reaction to Eddie grabbing August?
  3. What was August worried his dad would be upset about?

Day 10:

  1. What does the phrase "Choose Kind" mean to you?
