Introduction
Have you ever wondered. . . when was the first computer was made?
. . . who was the first female mathematician?
. . . when was the first Math book produced?
. . . how did math help win World War II?
. . . who was the first to theorize about Artificial Intelligence?
Task
You will be researching a famous mathematician randomly chosen by you. Your quest must include information on: (1) Who they are, (2) When/Where they lived, (3) What/Who influenced their work, (4) What they did for a living, (5) ) Three interesting facts that you choose, and most importantly, (6) What their contribution to mathematics/ science was.
Your specific tasks:
1. Research your mathematician using the outline given.
2. Create a timeline of your mathematician's life, that will be added to other students to make a complete
timeline of the history of mathematicians.
3. Choose to present your information to the class in one of the following ways:
a. Present your findings to the class through Google Slides, Animoto, OR Voki.
b. Create interview questions for an interviewer of your choosing to ask you. The questions must
relay the information above.
In both choices, you receive extra credit for dressing the part of your mathematician.
