Introduction
In this webquest you will learn about the concept of civil disobedience. Where does it come from? When was it developed? Who promoted it ?
* In YOUR webquest you will also have to write a short introduction, to shortly explain what your webquest is about. Try to explain simply and clearly what it is about and what your goal is (see. Task section) Try to be motivational!
Task
Today, your task is to create your own webquest. You will choose one period or one icon of civil disobedience and get your classmates to discover them too.
* For YOUR webquest, you also have to assign a task . Students will have to accomplish something, choose what you want them to do : write a short article for Wikipedia on what they learnt, make an oral presentation in class or a slide (prezzi, powerpoint...)
* Focus on ONE TOPIC : a personality or a period.
BEFORE creating your webquest you must have finished your research and know precisely what aspects you want to emphasize.
- Do you want students to learn about an icon of civil disobedience, or who protested against injustice ?
- Do you want students to get some references about a specific period ?
- Do you want students to understand about the different aspects of this concept ?
- Do you want students to discover a specific and/or unknown aspect of the question ? For example : the role of art : specific artists, movements or types of art (music, painting, photography, cinema, literature)
The type of questions of your webquest will depend on what your goal is.
Process
The Process is the section which includes the questions and links to websites or videos. You can choose to refer to only 1 website or more.
* Below are some examples of how you can organize your webquest. You could also integrate links to video or audio documents.
* You do not need to make too many questions, it will depend on how easy it is to find the answers, but between 5 and 10 is a good compromise. There should not be any traps : the goal is for students to get a better understanding of the notion of civil disobedience.
* You can create your webquest on Word or Libroffice and then copy/paste it In the process section of this website. Or you can do it only on Word or Libroffice. In any case you have to print it.
