Introduction
In any class, did you ever go outside and hit a piƱata while blindfolded, then scurried about to collect the candy that burst forth? If you did, you partook in a celebration of Cinco de Mayo!
Cinco de Mayo is a holiday and a celebration on the 5th of May celebrated widely throughout Mexico. However, many Americans celebrate Cinco de Mayo without even knowing what it is about, how to celebrate it properly, or what they are even celebrating.
Task
Complete a poster board in groups of 3-4 with atleast 5 facts about Cinco de Mayo and atleast 3 pictures describing common traditions used in the celebrations.
Process
Students can use online sources (with proper citation) for their factual information and pictures.
