What animal would you be?

Introduction

What animal would you be?

Choose your favourite animal or an animal that you would like to be and research it.

Find out - where it lives and its habitat, what it eats, who are its predators, what are its features (size, shape, weight, height, skin) and at least 4 more interesting facts.

Once you have researched your animal and displayed your information, you need to convince me why it would be awesome to be this animal.

Task

Open the Google Sheet attached. Remember to use appropriate websites for children and to write down the information in your own words. Here are a few you can try.

The more information you have for each question the more interesting your research project will be.

Process

1. Research your animal, using the google sheet to record your information. Make sure it is not cut and paste straight from websites. Retype the information in your own words. You may even have books at home that will have information that you can use.

2. Once your research is complete, you can display your information in a poster, on a powerpoint (google slide) show, in a word document, make a book.

3. Add drawings, maps, photos etc to your research and remember to add captions under them

4. Remember to add a final statement convincing me why it would awesome to be this animal.

5. Have fun and take your time - you have all week.

Evaluation

1. Did I answer all the questions with as much information as I could find?

2. Did I present my work neatly showing all that I researched?

3. Have I added colour and pictures to make it more interesting?

4. Have I written a final statement convincing my teacher why this is the best animal to be?
