For decades, the path was simple: Finish school, go to college, get a job. But the world has changed. Today, the most exciting careers are ones you create yourself.

The biggest companies often start with just a spark of an idea, a massive problem to solve, and one courageous person willing to take the first step. That person could be you.

Are you ready to stop waiting for your future and start building it? Click "Task" to begin your entrepreneurial journey!

Task

Task GIFs | Tenor       YOUR ULTIMATE MISSION: The Startup Pitch Deck!!

Your goal in this Web Quest is not just to learn about entrepreneurship, but to become an entrepreneur by creating a viable business concept.

Your final deliverable is a comprehensive Startup Pitch Deck.

You will select a real-world problem that you are passionate about solving - it could be a need in your school, a gap in the local community, or an issue you see globally.

You must then design a unique solution (a product or service) and develop a plan to launch and scale your business.

Your final presentation must include:

1. The Big Idea: Company name, logo etc

2. The Solution and Value Proposition: Describe your product and service

3. Market and Customer Analysis: Who is your ideal customer?

4. Strategy and Financials: How will you reach your target customers? How will your business make money?

Process

This task will be carried out individually. Each student will create their own Startup Pitch Desk.

Step 1: You will identify two problems in your school, community or globally. Choose ONE problem and a short summary of current solutions.

Step 2: Brainstorm at least two unique ways a product or service could solve your chosen problem. Watch a video on "Value Proposition" and write a sentence explaining why your solution is better.

Step 3: Using online resources, research demographics. Create a detailed profile of your ideal first customer.

Step 4: Research different ways businesses make money. Choose the best model for your idea and justify your choice. Identify the best platforms to market your business.
