You are going to create a travel brochure for Fisher River Cree Nation!

You will explore what the beautiful community of Fisher River has to offer and learn fun facts and a little bit of history. 

Task

After doing some research either by books, internet , or interviews you will be able to answer the following questions about the community of Fisher River Cree Nation . 

Through this research, you will have a better understand of Fisher River, its location, and important information including fun and facts of Fisher River. 

You will then create a brochure on the community of Fisher River. 

All of the information below should be included:

  • Who is Chief of Fisher River (Past and Present)?  
  • List 4 past or present councilors.
  • Name 3 tourist attractions found in Fisher River? Draw a picture or write a caption to describe the place.
  • Draw and color a replica of Fisher River flag.

  • When was the treaty of Fisher River signed? Where did Fisher River originate? Which native tribe does Fisher River descend from?

This Web Quest helps students create a fun and unique brochure about the community Fisher River.  It can be easily modified to use for any parts of the world.  One exciting thing to do in your class is to do a unit on other countries and create a brochure for each one.  These brochures would look terrific hung up in a part of your classroom or on a bulletin board under the heading, "Travel, Explore, Discover"!
