Chasing the Aborigines

Introduction

Are you ready for an adventure? Join the Europeans on the quest of finding the Aborigines. We have found deserted campsites and other clues on where they are heading! Step back in time on the quest for the native people. Were they fair?

Learn about thier culture and how it was changed by the Europeans. Were the Europeans kind? Ruthless? Or were they compassionite? Just? You decide.

                                                                                  Let's Begin.

In this WebQuest, you will be creating a defense for either the Aborigines or the Europeans.

Answer these questions in your defense.

1) Why was your group right about their judgment,

2) Was your group fair,

3) What was one thing your group had that the other one didn't,

and

4) Why your group wanted that land.

Process

For the process you will be;

1.) Checking out the websites on the bottom of the page,

2.) Writing a defense for either side (Aborigines or Europeans)

3.) Find a person with the opposite argument,

and finally

4.) Presenting your debate in front of the class

Evaluation

Conclusion

Finally, decide. Were the Europeians fair or not? Do you understand why the Europeians took thier land? Would you be able to do what the Europeians did to the Aborigines? Jumping onto the bandwagon is easy, especially when standing up for what is right can be a whole lot harder.
