Introduction
Do you want to go on an investigation? Do you want to grow tall and strong?
In order to grow big and strong it’s important to put certain foods into our body such as fruits and vegetables. Hearing fruits and vegetables might sound scary and gross but by exploring different fruits and vegetables using our five senses we can learn a lot about different fruits and vegetables and be able to explain why we do not like certain ones.
Task
In order to find out what fruits and vegetables we like using our five senses students are going to be placed into small groups of four. In these groups the students will begin to explore the different types of fruits and vegetables and begin understanding the different shapes, colors, taste, feel and sight of fruits and vegetables that the students will be eating.
Tasks
Process
Step 1: We will look up the definition of fruits and vegetables by using dictionary.com and write down your definitions in your science journals.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/vegetable's
Step 2: We will then look up what the five senses are by using the websites provided below:
And then write down our definitions in our science journal.
Step 3: After we have have written down what a fruit is, what a vegetable is and what the five senes are, you will be assigned to a group of 4 children and either recieve a sheet of paper that says fruits or vegetables on it. Each one of you will be detectives and recorders. Each of you will be assigned to do the following tasks:
1. Look at your sheet of paper (fruit chart) (Vegetable chart), if it says fruit at the top then you are going to go around to each table that contains fruits on them. If your sheet of paper says vegetables on it then you are going to go around the room to each table that contains vegetables on them.
2. Once you have decided what table you should be at, you are going to record what you see, touch, taste, smell and hear using the chart on the sheet of paper.
3. Once you have completly the sheet of paper you are going to go back into your groups and discuss the data that you found.
4. As a group you are coming to take the information that you discussed together and create one big chart that contains the information you and your group have discussed. And be ready to share to the class. You are able to use the web and print out different pictures of either the fruits or vegetables that you tested.
5. Then individualy you are going to come up with what fruit or vegetable you liked and what fruit or vegetable you do not like and write it down in your journals explaining why and what senese helped you determine your descition.

This WebQuest is designd for kindergarnders Health and Wellness using Science. The children will work in cooprerative groups, learn about the five senese, fruits and vegetables, and be able to explain why they do not like certain fruits and vegetables based on their five seneses.
This WebQuest was created for Kindergadeners but can be used for first graders as well. It was designed to complement centers themed on Fruits and vegetables
The children will learn about what makes a fruit, what makes a vegetables, and what five senses can help determine what one is. The time frame I allowed for this activity was one week, because the children switch after they are done being detectives for the fruit or vegerables.
The children will be studying "What makes a fruit?" and "What makes a vegetable?" by using there five senses. The children will be making a chart as a group that contains the five sesnes on it and them writing what they saw, heard, taste, touched, and smelt. Each group will resent their information on a poster board as part of their evaluation.
The children need no prior knowledge on fruits, vegetables or their five seneses.
