Introduction
You are about to begin the unit on the United States’ most destructive war. It is not the American Revolution, WW I or WW II but the American Civil War. The Civil War was America's bloodiest war. More young men died in the Civil War than in almost all of America's other wars. About 2.75 million soldiers fought in the Civil War. 2 million for the North and 750,000 for the South.Over a 100,000 of these soldiers were under age the age of 18 and more than 11,000 of these kid soldiers were wounded or killed during battle.
