What are VOWELS in the alphabet?

Introduction

Somewhere in the alphabet are some letters that make more than one sound called vowels. I will give you a hint....there are five!

*remember every word must have a vowel or it is not a word.

Task

Go to this website and find the ABC blocks and find the vowel activity.

Process

Identify the five vowels and give me an example of both the short and long sound it makes by writing a word or drawing a picture.

Evaluation

4- Student completed all required assignments with knowledge of objective at the highest level of performance.

3- Student completed and clearly understands the task. Well thought out and organized.

2- Students completes the task but does not clearly understand task. Lack of planning and organization.

1-Student did not complete full task. Disorganized and difficult to follow. Did not relate material to task.

0-Student did not complete task at all.
