Introduction

Hello! I am a tourist, so I guess you could say I am not familiar with what this state has to offer.

Could you help me out by making me feel like I am at a home away from home? :)

Task

You are now a tour guide!!!!

In this webquest you will work (by yourself). In order to get great reviews you will need to do the following:

  • Pick ONE state.
  • Begin researching attractions in the state you have chosen.
  • Create an itenirary for your tourist.
  • Present your internirary to the class.

Process

Step 1: Pick ONE state.

Using the Google search engine find the states capital, bird, and flower.

Make sure you provide additional background information as well.

*Check with the teacher FIRST to make sure a classmate hasn't already begun doing research on that state.

Step 2: Attractions, Food, and More!

Using the Google search engine find fun exciting things that your tourist could do while visiting your state!

Make sure that you check all aspects such as prices, reviews, etc.

Step 3: Create a Itinerary.

Create a schedule of sites, restaurants, etc. four your tourist.

Make sure to include your reasoning/information of why you feel that he/she should visit the attractions you have chosen.

Evaluation

Research Organization Presentation
4 Research is accurate (recency) and has high reviews. Itinerary is organized and all aspects correlate. Speaker uses correct posture, eye contact, and speaks where classmates can hear him/her.
3 Research is thourough and is reliable. Itineray is organized, but doesn't correlate. Students uses posture, some eye contact, and speaks somewhat loud.
2 Research is not thorough. Itinerary is somewhat organized. Time, atrractions, etc correlate. Speaker doesn't use correct posture, eye contact, and doesn't speak loud.
1 Research is not accurate nor reliable. Itinerary isn't organized. Time, attractions, etc do not correlate. Speaker doesn't present at all.

Conclusion
