Underground Railroad

Introduction

We will explore various websites to learn about some of the people who helped in the Underground Railroad and some facts about it.

Task

The student will visit each website and answer questions that have been created to go along with it.  The student will then create a glog using Glogster and the information learned in the webquest.

View the following video and list the top five heroes of the Underground Railroad.  You will use this video in your glog.  Try to find images of these heroes.  Include their name as the caption.

Read the article about Harriet Tubman.  Answer the questions.  Add Harriet Tubman's picture to your glog.  Add text to your glog which will be your answers to numbers 8 and 9.

Evaluation

You will be evaluated on the glog that you create.

 You need to answer Ducksters fill in the blanks correctly and add the information to your glog in complete sentences.

Add at least three images with a caption to your glog.

Remember to add the two videos from the webquest along with any others you find and want to use.

By completing this webquest, you will undertand the importance of the Underground Railroad and how it impacted the U.S.
