Introduction
Hello everyone, this is "The Tower of Etheria". What this specific item is, is a game that has been created by Edwin Brouwer. This game is in the Alpha phase, meaning that there is much more work to be done within this game. The goal of this game is to simply go up the towers, to get to the top.
Task
Your Job:
1. Come up with ten props that can be put into this city.
2. Discover what kind of code is neccessary for the character to move in the unity program, using the internet.
3. Determing whether or not collectables will be neccesary in this game.
Process
Step 1: Determine whether or not certain props would be necessary for a city scenario
Step 2: Using resources readily availabe (mainly the internet) research what kinds of codes would work for making a character work and move. You should be able to research which coding languages unity uses, and use that to determine which code is the best for commanding a character to move.
Step 3: The student should be able to consider how collectables could be used in the game, and whether or not these items should be looked into for the game to work.
Evaluation
Task 1: Determining at least 10 different kinds of props that would be neccesary for a city scene. None of these should be the same.
Task 2: The codes should be within unity's usability, and should be in working order for testing.
Task 3: There should be at least a well worded document explaining the students choice, and a good argument why they chose that choice. An example should be given.
Conclusion
Congratulations, you are well on your way to becoming a game designer. I hope that you understand how considering many of the smaller parts of the project can help you to create a higher quality game. And remember, let your passion guide you in how you want to create your own special game.
