You are now the theatre tech director for a small venue @ lyndon state college; this theatre is a multi-purpose venue. You must be proficient and able to utilize both conventional and intelligent lighting. You will design lighting for live music concerts, comedians, hypnotists, academic events and student plays and productions.
Task

- You are to do research on the pro's & cons of both traditional & intelligent lighting instruments. You will research both traditional lighting instruments and intelligent lighting instruments.You will develop a mind map that details these pro's & cons for each catagory of lighting instruments.
- The second assignment will be to convert your research into a prezi detailing your findings.
Process
Each member of the tech team will research traditional lighting instruments & intelligent lighting instruments, read over the scoring rubric(under evaluation) for the project you are to complete. Below you will find a list of suggested resources to aid in this process.
1) Each member will search out free mind mapping software & include the following:
- 1 mind map that brainstrorms as many pros & cons as possible for each catagory of lights.
AND
2) Each member will collaborate to create a prezi that illustrates the pro's & cons of both types of lighting instruments.
- The prezi should include pros & cons, images of each type of lighting instrument & at least one video clip that shows an example of each type of instrument in use @ a live music concert/venue.

Final project grading rubric:
5 -- All mind map information is correct. Prezi has no spelling or grammar errors. It is creative, colorful, and conatins multiple photos and videos.
4 -- All mind map information is correct. Prezi has some spelling or grammarical errors. It is creative,colorful and it contains a few photos and videos.
3 -- Most of the mind map information is correct. Prezi has a few spelling or grammarical errors. It contains a a few photos and at least 1 video.
2 -- Most of the mind map information is correct. Prezi has lots of spelling or grammarical errors. It contains a few photos and no videos.
1 -- Some of the mind map information is correct. Presentation has numerous spelling or grammarical errors. It doesn't contain any photos or videos.
0 -- Student did not complete a presentation.
Conclusion
Through this webquest activity, you have learned much about the pro's & cons of both traditional lighting instuments . You have learned how crucial the proper lighting instruments & techniques are to the entertainment industries. Hopefully, through this lesson you have gained a greater understanding and appreciation for theatre technology world.
