Introduction

Do you know what a stroke is?
What causes a stroke, how dangerous is a stroke?

This lesson is for those of you in Year 6 and wanting to Investigate the role of preventive health in promoting and maintaining healthsafety and wellbeing for individuals and their communities (ACPPS058) (ACARA, 2016)


Task

Activity:

By completing this webquest you will be able to correctly identify when someone is having a stroke, understand the symptoms and what causes a stroke.

Clink on the webpage links under the 'process' heading to learn about these things.

At the end of this webquest you will be required to act out a short play.
You will be in groups of four:
1 person will be having the symptoms of a stroke
1 person will identify these symptoms and be required to act out and explain how they are identyfing the symptoms and what to do next
2 people will be doctors, explaining to the patient and witness what is happening (what a stroke is)
