Story problems using money

Introduction

Hello Class! As we all know money makes our world go around. We NEED IT, well your parents need it to support you. It's very important to know what makes up our money system. We have things called coins and bills, and they all have different values. Value= how much it's worth. Pennies, dimes, nickels, and quarters all add up. Let's find out how they add up!

We will find out how much these coins are worth and use the information in real money problems.

  • How much a penny is worth?
  • How much a nickel is worth?
  • How much a dime is worth?
  • How much a quarter is worth?
  • How many pennies make up a dollar?
  • How many quarters make up a dollar?
  • How many dimes make up a dollar?
  • How many quarters make up 50 cents?
  • Use the fewest amount of coins to make 85 cents.
  • When do you use the terms cents and dollars?
