Now that we have read Stone Fox we will look deeper into the story by completing the following tasks.

Task

By the end of the lesson you and your group will have completed the following four items:

1.  Made a travel brochure of Wyoming and its features.

2.  Created some type of outline that includes items needed to join a dogsled race and places where you may race.

3.  Illustrated and written a newspaper article with the main events of the story Stone Fox.

4.  Produced a t-shirt for the race that each participant will wear the day of the race.

Process

The town of Jackson, Wyoming needs an article for their paper telling about the Natioanl Dogsled Race.  Include things such as the people who entered, the events, and the winner.  Remember to use the five w's when writing the newspaper article: who, what, where, when, why.  You can also include how. Also, create an illustration that can be included with the article.

Examples below may help you:

T-Shirt

The National Dogsled Race would like to give each person who enters the race a t-shirt.  You need to design a t-shirt that may be given to each person that enters the race. Below is a picture of blank tshirt.  Be creative!
