The Spread of Buddhism and Islam throughout Asia

Introduction

The Spread of Islam and Buddhism share many similarities in the way they were spread both being influential by trade and conquest. While Buddhism was spread more through trade and Islam was spread more through conquest. For this webquest you are to put yourself in the shoes of a Buddhist or Islam during this time of expansion and tell of some of the beliefs and important qualities of your religion.

Task

You and your partner are to answer the following questions depending on the religion you chose and make a powerpoint on them.

Step 1: Partner up with another student.

Step 4: Use the information you have obtained to create a powerpoint presentation that will be shown to the class. Please prepare and go over your powerpoint ahead of time to make sure you are prepared.

Bonus Step: for some extra points write me a short summary (not with your partner) as a person from your chosen religion about a day in your life.

Conclusion

You should learn a good bit about Buddhism and Islam from your presentations and the presentations of others. We as a class should be able to go over some similarities and differences that we see between the two and i look forward to seeing everyones work.
