Introduction
Speakin is an important thing wherever. English Language for foreign learners especially beginners should be insisted to stand firm with spaeking English because this language is used mostly all over the world. It involves interaction with people and uses the language to reach the objectives they intend.
Task
Astudent should understand the following in greetings.
1. who are the people he or she greete in a day?
example parents, teachers and friends.
2. What epressions do they use when they greet these people?
3. Why do they greet some people differently with others?
HENCE; Within thes students are to be instructed to observe the following things;
(i) The role of the speakers who greeted each other. Is one in a position of power? Or is each of equal status?
(ii) What is the relation of these people who greet each other?
Process
1. Introduce the topic before the students,
2. Take them in pairs and start to practise greetings using appropriate words in the classroom.
3. Giving them assignment/home work.
Evaluation
Ensure students are able to greet each other and knowing the greeting contexts in relation to the status.
Conclusion
If students have understood they may go on with the next topic.
