Space Party

Introduction

"Space Party"

By Danna Rodebush

How do you organize a space party?  You PLAN IT!!!

Task

Choose a partner!  On your team index card, write both partners' names and turn it in to the orange basket.

Your task on this mission, should you choose to accept (really you don't have a choice...it is for a grade) is to "travel" to one of the eight planets, become an expert and then return to earth to teach your classmates what you have learned.

Process

As a team of 2, you have been assigned one of the eight planets by random draw.

INDEPENDENTLY, you will "travel" to your planet and research it using the research guide.  Each person will turn in a research guide.

You will then use your research notes to write your "Planet Research Paper."  This portion of the project will be completely INDEPENDENT.  Each partner will turn in their own research paper.  All requirements and guidelines for the research paper may be found on the back of your grading rubric and on the evaluation page of the WebQuest.

You may use the following search engines along with your textbook and any other books you find in the library.  Click on the links to take you directly to the search engine.

___________________________________________

Now that you have completed your independent research and written your research paper, it is time to work with your partner to organize the information into a presentation.

You will be using both partners' research guides to create a presentation on Google slides.  The template that you MUST follow may be found on Google Classroom.

All requirements and guidelines for the presentation may be found on the back of your grading rubric and on the evaluation page of the WebQuest.

This project is worth 150 points towards your Science grade.  In addition to these 150 points, you will also be turning in a "Planet Research Listening Guide" for 50 points after all presentations are given.
