Introduction
This WebQuest will help you on your journey to choose a topic for your TEDx speech. Please read and follow the directions carefully. Remember to keep your notes organized as your research will be graded based on the rubric in the "evaluation" section.
Task
Here are the directions for your TEDx speech. This research will help you choose your topic. Topic choice should be made by Friday, November 19.
Throughout history, people have responded to inequalities and injustices in a variety of ways. Colonial Americans led the fight for independence against the British, Dr. Martin Luther King took a stand for equal rights for people of all races and women suffragists earned the right for women to vote. What modern-day injustices have you researched and read about? In your opinion, what is an injustice or inequality facing the local or global community today? What would you advise others to do in order to stop it from continuing?
Create an inspiring presentation for TEDx in which you spread your ideas to open your audience’s eyes to see what you see and inspire them act. How could you enhance your presentation with the use of technology or visuals to convey your message?
