School Facilities Identification and Use

Introduction

Our school, our second home.

Part of our lives we spend at school and it becomes our second homes some way. Knowing our school is important as we are there most part of our week, year and sometimes lives. Kowing all the employees, the teachers, etc is also important.

But, what about the facilities of your school?

Do you know them?

Do you know the places where
you can go and what you can do there?

 

Task

Get to know about your school facilities, comparing to a school's facilities from another country through web research, their purposes and produce a web blog or padlet to display your web/school research results. Thereafter your group is to teach other students what you have learned as a result.

Process

1. Learn about your school facilities;

1.1 Talk to the teachers, school principal, janitors, cafeteria staff and so forth and be familiarized with your own school facilities.

1.2  Learn about school facilites in another country through web research.

      p.s. Your research group is to choose the country for this assignment.

2. Compare to your school facilities and check the similarities and differences.

3. Make sings for the main school facility rooms to be put up on the wall in the corresponding facility.

   p.s. This task should only be done with a previously meeting with the school principal about the assignment and the signs for proper authorization.

4. Your group is to walk some students, teachers around the school so that you make a presentation of your work done with information about the facilities.

5. The results of your assignment are to be displayed on either a web blog or www.padlet.com

Evaluation

1. You are to produce your assignment with short informative texts about the facilities of you school.

2. Assignments/information found on the internet must be questioned for the veracity of the them and if the information is really a pattern in foreign schools.

3. Do not copy and paste to avoid wrong information.

Conclusion

1. Your blog/padlet presentation must be shared with your peers through e-mail/social networks as an invitation for a presentation (including your own teacher)

2. You are to walk this group of students around school and your group must explain the purposes of the school facilities.
