Welcome to the Road to the Civil War Webquest! This WebQuest serves as a virtual timeline for the causes of the Civil War. You will be exploring how the North and South came into conflict and how that conflict led to war.

Task
Your task is to create a "quilt" of the various events that led to the Civil War.
You will be given a paper with 9 squares. Each square represents an event, influential person, or important occurences that led to the Civil War.
For each square, answer the questions in the process section. Then draw a picture depicting that event or person.

Square 1:Underground Railroad-- In this square, you will explore how the Underground Railroad operated. You should also look at its main "conductor" and her influence on the escape of so many slaves.
