Reasons for the Seasons

Introduction

Your team has been hired by Seasons Magazine to research the reasons for the seasons and create a one page spread on your team's assigned season. You will naviage the links together in order to answer imporatnt questions that readers of your magazine will want to know about your season.

Task

After finding the answers to the questions, you will create a poster board draft of your magazine spread. Then, draw a picture of what your season looks like as well as a picture fo the relationship between the Sun and Earth during that season.

Questions:

What is the relationship between the Sun and the Earth that causes your assigned season?

What effect does this relationship between the Sun and the Earth have on your season?

Process

You will complete this webquest in groups of 4. Each group will be assigned a season. Split your group into 2 teams with 1 laptop per team.

Team 1 will be in charge of answering question 1.

1. What is the relationship between the Sun and the Earth that causes your assigned season?

Team 2 will be in charge of answering question 2.

2. What effect does this relationship between the Sun and the Earth have on your season?

Make sure you work together as a team to navigate through this webquest! After each team is done answering their question, they will share their findings with the rest of their group.

Evaluation

Each team in your group will be responsible for answering your assigned question. After each team is finished navigating through the webquest and answering their question, you will share your findings with the rest of your group.

After you have finished sharing your findings with your group, you will now create your poster! Remember, your posterboard needs to include the following:

1. The answers to the two questions found in the webquest.

2. Drawing of what your season looks like.

3. Drawing of the relationship between the Sun and the Earth during your assigned season.

Conclusion

After completing your poster board, we will come together as a class and each group will have the opportunity to present their poster and teach the class about their season.
