Reason For The Seasons

Introduction

What are the average temperatures in the Northern Hemisphere during winter? Why is it hotter in the summer than winter? Is it because the Earth is closer to the Sun during summer? What season was I born? 

 

Task

You have been hired by Comal District Curriculum Department to make a booklet for their second grade science students.

You will make a booklet that is divided into 4 parts to explain Why Seasons happen , the months that each season occurs in the Northern Hemisphere, average temperatures in our area, and you will also answer some questions to test your knowledge of the subject.

1.- Describe briefly the four seasons make sure to include the months of the year for each season and draw a picture to                 represent each season.

Your booklet will be your graded based on the following criteria. In order to achieve a a good grade you must make sure the following are included in your booklet. 

(Each point equals 10 points)

1.- Page 1 

     *Picture of four seasons                                  10 points   

     *Description of four seasons                              10 points

     *Months for each of the four seasons                    10 points

2.- Page 2

    * List the average high and low temperatures             10 points

      for each season in the Northern Hemisphere.           

    * Drawing of thermomethers to represent each           10 points

      temperature.

3.-  Page 3

      *Explanation of how the tilt and the Earth's            10 points

       position affect seasons.

      *Drawing to represent how Seasons happen              10 points
