Introduction

Welcome to the Parts of Speech Webquest ! This is great opportunity for you to learn and review the eight parts of speech via internet, which will make you an expert on this matter.
Words are everywhere. We use them everyday and it is important that we know how to use them correctly. The parts of speech are essential building blocks of the English language. Each part has its own function and importance in the English grammar. Using the links provided, you will discover the meaning behind and uses that you were not aware of for the eight parts of speech.
Task
Students will create a poster with images and texts to describe the eight parts of speech (along with examples). Posters will be presented in front of class.

2.)Research:Using the links provided below, research through the different sites in order to be able to answer the basic questions: What are the 8 parts of speech? What are their functions in the English language?

3.)Final Product:1.)sing a cardboard, students will elaborate a poster with images and words in which they illustrate the eight parts of speech.(previously learned from the videos and research made)
2.)Then, using the poster created, students will present it to their classmates.
3.)Posters will be turned in to the teacher for them to be posted on the bulletin board.
Evaluation
EVALUATION:
The tasks developed through the webquest will be evaluated from excellent, to needs improvement, depending if the aspects were accomplished as explained on the following Rubric.c:

Your final grade will be:
EXCELLENT: if you obtained 3 or 4 of the aspects in the rubric as excellent
GOOD: if you obtained 2 aspects of the rubric graded as excellent / 2, 3, or 4 aspects of the rubric as good/ 1 or 2 aspects of the rubric as Needs Improvement
NEEDS IMPROVEMENT: If you obtained all aspects of the rubric as Needs Improvement
Conclusion
After watching the videos, researching on the different websites provided and creating a poster, students will be able to use the different parts of speech.
