Process

1.First, everyone will be assigned to a partner. You all will be assigned into groups of two. I will decide your partners for you.
2. Once you are with your partner you will learn more about prepositions and conjuctions by going to the following links!

4. Now that you and your partner feel confident about knowing how prepositions and conjuctions work you will now be making a booklet to show how smart you are.
5. You and your partner will need one sheet of paper that I will provide you with. You will also need a pencil and a box of colored pencils. I will provide you with ALL the material you need!
6. The First step of making your booklet will be to take your piece of paper and fold it hamburger style. So it looks like this!

7. Once you have your paper folded, you will need to make a cover page, with a title on the front! The title will be Prepositions and conjuctions. Make sure you decorate the cover and make it look pretty!
8. Once you are done making the cover page, open your booklet. On one side of your booklet you will right Preposition really big and under that you will define preposition. On that page you will also need three sentences with a preposition in them. You must underline the preposition!
9. On the other page you will write Conjunctions really big. Under the word conjunction you must put what conjunction means. Then you need to put three sentences using a conjunction! You must underline the conjunction!
10. Now that you and your partner have made your booklet, you will need to make sure you decorate it and make it look nice. Both you and your partner's name must be on the front of your book under your title.
11. Once you and your partner are done making your booklet I will collect them.

Background: This WebQuest was created mainly for students in the 5th grade. The lesson taught in this WebQuest is literacy and proper grammar. Students can interact will classmates and get more involved while learning how to use prepositions and conjunctions. Upon completion of this WebQuest students will be able to understand and identify what prepositions and conjunctions are. students will also be able to show the material they learned while also cooperating and working with a partner. An extension of this could be having students present their booklets to their classmates.
The standard of this WebQuest is CCSS.ELA-literacy. L. 5.1 .A
Learners: This Webquest is designed for 5th grades but can be modified to accomadate according to the students needs.
For the teacher: Students should have some knowledge of sentence structure. Literature lessons should lead up to students learning prepositions and conjunctions.
Students should be provided with 60 minutes to complete this assignement. This gives students enough time to understand what they are learning, and translate that into their booklets. It would be helpful to provide students with the supplies they need such as computers, paper, pencils, colored pencils, and etc. Students can be given more time if needed.
