Introduction
You and your group members will research and prepare a PowerPoint Presentation on assigned president and how well they fufilled their presidential roles.
Presentations will be due to me through email by the beginning of next class. Each presentation will consist of 10-15 slides total.
Each group will give a 5 minute presentation of their project to the class.
Presidents:
1. Woodrow Wilson
2. Franklin Roosevelt
3. Harry Truman
4. Dwight Eisenhower
5. John F. Kennedy
6. Lyndon Johnson
7. Richard Nixon
8. Ronald Reagan
For your president, you will grade them according to the following roles:
1. Commander in Chief
2. Chief Executive
3. Chief Legislator
4. Economic Leader
How well did they do fulfilling each of these roles? Give a grade of A, B, C, D, or F, and explain why.
Process
Follow these steps in order to complete your project:
Step 1: Time - 5 minutes
Get together with your groups and decide who is going to complete which portion of the project (each person should be researching a different Presidential Role).
Step 2: Time - 30 minutes
Complete research individually for your role. Write down notes that you would like to include in your power point and save pictures that you want to use.
Step 3: Time - 10 minutes
Come back together as a group to discuss your findings and agree on what will be included in the power point. Figure out what "grade" you will assign your President for each of their roles.
Step 4: Time - 25 minutes
Put together your Power Point Presentation as a group. Each group member should be actively engaged and involved in this process.
Step 5: Time - 10 minutes
Check for any errors, review your rubric and then send your Presentation to Ms. Petroff before you leave!!!
