Prepositions

Introduction

Students today you will be learning about prepositions. Our classroom goal for the day is to contiune focusing on grammer. The links in this Webquest are very important, while reading through make notes about prepositions that you like.

After you've gone through the webquest, get into groups of 3 and create a short story or a poem. (Must be appropriate). Each group must use as many prepositions as possible but they have to make sense of course.

Standard:  5 Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English capitalization, punctuation, and spelling when writing

Task

Before the groups being to work, make sure that everyone in each group has a role.

  1. Each groupe need to choose a leader- this person in responsible for making sure that the group stays on track
  2. Each groups needs a transcriber who will write your paper.
  3. The remaining members of the group have to make sure they are involoved in reading information. The reading should be done alternatly.
  4. Every one must patricpate. No one should be left alone to not do work.
  5. Once the assignment is done, each group will read their stories.

Process

Prepositions are words that relate or nouns or pronouns to another word in a sentence.

  10. What would you considered a good preposition words?

Evaluation

Conclusion

After completing this activity, you will have a better understanding on why prepositions are important and why they shouldn't be negleted while writting. Also you will have a stronger sense of team-work by working with one another.

Always remember if you don't use grammer, you might get hit with a hammer!
