The position of the sun, earth, and moon are critical to our survival. Our planet, earth, is located perfectly in relation to the sun and moon for life to exist.
Task
Your task is to investigate the position of the sun, earth, and moon to:
- Explain the effects of the relative posiiton of the sun, Earth, and moon.
- Explain how Earth's movement in space produces the day/night cycle.
- Relate the tilt of the earth to the distribution of sunlight throughout the year and its effect on climate.
- Demonstrate the phases of the moon by showing the alignment of the earth, moon, and sun
- Explain the alignment of the earth, moon, and sun during solar and lunar eclipses.
You will also describe the formation and surface features of the moon.
