Introduction
Calling all grade four botanist (A person that study about plants) are you ready to learn about plants? I hope so! For by the end of this activity you will become expert botanist. For the next three days you will explore the parts of the plants and their functions. You will also learn why it is important.
You are now to begin your mission and with the use of your notebook, you will draw and write your observations.

Task
Each day you will finish one task. So you will take three days to complete all your task. Here is you task!Task 1: What is a plant? Give 5 reasons why plants are important.Task 2: Identify the parts and function of plants.Task 3: Create a poster of a plant and label its part.

Process
Task 1(Day 1):
You will be working with your group mates to complete this task. You must find out what is a plant and give 5 reasons why it is important. As you all work together, you must actively search for answers to the links provided.
It is important that each of you will participate in this activity. In your group, assign your member on who will become the researcher, assistant of the researcher, artist and reporter. Each member will be graded in this activity using a rubric.

Task 2 (Day 2):
Today you are task to identify the parts and function of the pants. You are given 10-minutes to go outside the classroom. Choose a plant and record your observation. After that you can now return to your room. Ask your teacher for your activity sheets that you will use.

Task 3 (Day 3):
Using your plant parts and functions information sheets, create a poster showing all that you have learned. Your teacher will help you gather the materials you may use.
After you create a poster you will then answer the question:
1. Give reasons why we should take good care of plants.
Present your work in front. You will be given a criterion to guide you on your presentation.
