Introduction

The Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt were the supreme leaders of the land. They were like kings or emperors. They ruled both upper and lower Egypt and were both the political and religious leader. The Pharaoh was often thought of as a living gods.

The name Pharaoh comes from a word meaning "great house" describing a palace or kingdom.

There were many great Pharaohs throughout the history of Ancient Egypt. You will discover some of the more famous ones.

The ancient Egyptians were polytheistic and believed in many different gods and goddesses. Each one with their own role to play in maintaining peace and harmony across the land.Today you will explore a few of the various gods and some of the best pharoahs of Ancient Egypt
