Persuasive writing is arguably one the most important skills you will learn in school. It is all around us and you encounter it every time you walk out your door or turn on your television. It is in advertisements and billboards and posters. You use it yourself whenever you try to convince your parents to let you attend that really important party, or to let you play just five more minutes on your video game, and even when you explain to your friends why one rapper is so much cooler than another. You will need it when you write college application essays and later when you interview for jobs. Persuasive writing/speech even plays a big role in decisions such as who to marry or if you should even marry at all.
