Introduction
We use percentages all the time in our daily lives. This webquest is to show all the scenrios and how to use percents not only in your daily life, but in general.

Task
The point of this webquest is to learn through several internet activties how to use percentages. There will be quizzes and games that I have found for you to make learning engaging and fun.

Process
Day 1: Today you will learn what Percentages are.
- You will watch this video [video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hu9CEgA1d04 align:center]
- After you watch this video you will write a summary of what you learned and turn it in to me.
- Next you will Play this percentage game on Easy and you will tell me how many of them you got right. http://www.funbrain.com/penguin/
Day 2: Today you will practice some more on percentages
- Complete this worksheet http://www.mathgoodies.com/worksheets/worksheet_embed.aspx?url=http%3a%2f%2fwww.noetic-learning.com%2fmathdrill%2fgetworksheet%3fid%3d5586%26wsType%3dworksheet28%26input1%3dfrom%2bpercent%2bto%2bfraction%26input2%3dnot%2blarger%2bthan%2b100%2525%26numberofquestions%3d5%26qtperrow%3d1%26partner%3dmathgoodies (Don't worry about being timed, it's for you to practice)
- After you finish this go back to the game from Day 1 and play it on Medium to see if you've gotten any better.
Day 3: Today I want you to create your own percentage problem.
- On a word document create a word problem/scenerio you would use percents. Then create another document that has the answer and send it to me. I want to see if you understand how to do the problem, and how it relates to your daily life.
- After you finish that, I want you to trade your problem with one of your peers (let me know who) and do the problem and turn it in.
Day 4: Today you are going to apply percentages to your daily life.
- I want you to list at least 5 ways you use percentages in your daily life now that you know what percentages are. For example "I use precentages when I go to the store and buy a shirt that is 20% off".
- Next I want you to go back the the game from day 1 and do it on hard. I don't expect you to be able to, it's just to see what you have learned so far.
- I want you to create your own worksheet you will be giving to one of your peers to do. It should consist of word problems such as "If you go out to eat, and your ticket is $30.25 what would be a 15% tip". I want you to have at least 10 questions. You also have to create an answer key so they can check their answers.
Day 5: Today you should be doing one of your peers worksheets
- Complete the worksheets and check your answers.
- Write a summary of your overall experience with percentages and what you learned. I want at least 3 things that you learned.
