Task

As the newspaper reporter, you will research the arrival of an immigrant. Using her/his nationality, compose a feature story that will appear in the Sunday edition of the New York Times.

2) Why was it built?
3) List the steps in the arrival process. What would a future immigrant want to know about the process before coming? After exploring the site, write a paragraph of a letter to a future immigrant telling him/her what to expect.

1. Choose two or more life histories from the list below. Read and compare the American journeys of these people.
2. Take notes on the stories.Are there any similarities in their history? What are they?
