Parts of a Plant and Their Jobs

Calling all of Mrs. Smith’s second grade botanists. (people who study plants.)  Your mission is to become an expert on:

1. The parts of plants

2. The functions (jobs) of the parts of the plants

3. The plants that we eat and what part of the plant they are.

First, we are going to watch a video from Brainpop Jr. about Plants.

Tasks:

1. Identify and label the parts of a plant.
2. Describe the function of each plant part.
3. Describe different plant parts that we eat.
4. Create a poster showing a plant and labeling the parts of the plant.
