Introduction
Ontario is one of Canada's ten provinces. It is Canada's second largest province. It covers 1.076 million km 2. It is bordered by Quebec on the east, Manitoba on the west, the Great Lakes and the U.S. in the south and Hundson's and Jame's Bay in the north. The population of Ontario lives mostly around the Great Lakes regions. There are approximately 13.6 million people living in Ontario.
Task
In this webquest we will be learning about the different regions of Ontario. You will also create a booklet sharing the information you learn about the different regions. You will share your learning with the class in an oral presentation. When your webquest and booklet are complete you will select one of the regions of Ontario and design a display to share with your parents at our Communities Open House in June.
You will be able to work in a small group to complete this webquest. The first thing you must do is select your group. Take a few minutes to think about who you will be able to work well with and how you will contribute to your group. Once you have thought about this fill out the My Group page that the teacher will give you. The teacher will then take a look at everyone's sheets and help the class determine working groups.
