Oh What A Year!

Introduction

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to Oh What A Year! In this webquest, we will discuss how the different times of the year relates to the daylight during those times. We will discuss all of the concepts in class before you begin this project. All of you will be in groups of four, where each student will be assigned a different season. 

Have fun with this and don't forget to pass in all required material!

Task

The task for all students is to find information about the amount of daylight in different parts of the world depending on the season. All students in the groups will need to partcipate. There are websites that you can go to, listed in the process area. Please do not research anywhere else, unless you have permission to do so from your teacher.

Process

Here are the guidelines and how each student will do the project:

Student 1: winter season

      Amount of daylight in: New Hampshire, Australia, Antarctica, Alaska, and Moscow, Russia

      What kind of clothing is needed for winter?

      What grows during this season?

Student 2: spring season

Student 3: summer season

Student 4: fall season

Each student will:

- Search for the amount of daylight in:

       New hampshire

       Australia

       Antarctica

       Alaska

       Moscow, Russia

- What kind of clothing is needed for your season?

- What kind of plants or trees grow during your season?

- What kinds of animals are seen during your season?

Evaluation

You will be evaluated on all the information you have found. It will be put into a poster with writing and pictures. The poster will need to be well-done, neat, creative, and all the information is presented clearly.
