In this unit we are going to be discussing natural resources.
After completing this WebQuest activity you will be able to:
Describe what a natural resource is.
What the two types of natural resources are.
Give examples of each type of natural resource.

Task
The objecetive for todays lesson is after completing the WebQuest, students will learn what natural resources are, why they are important and be able to classify resources as renewable and nonrenewable.
You are going to be exploring certain websites, and will research natural resources! You will find the definition of naturals resources, the two types, and will sort specific resources into those two categories. You will be typing these answers on a google docs page that you have already set up. Have fun and enjoy the WebQuest, because learning is fun!

Next, you will find the definitions to the following words. Click on each website next to each word. Type the definition on your google docs page.

Activity 2
Now that we know about natural resources, let's do an activity that will teach us about conserving these resources. (Conservation is when you use resources so you do not waste them, or run out.)

2. Click on the globe that says "sustainability".
3. Now click on the word "sustainability".
4. You will now be on a page that has a powerpoint over sunstainability. Use the arrows to complete the powerpoint.
5. While reading the powerpoint, you will be filling in your google docs with 5 facts over the information.
6. When finished, move on to the evaluation page.

A renewable resource is a natural resource that cannot be used up or it is one that can be replaced within a human life span.
Nonrenewable resources are natural resources that cannot be replaced after they are used.
