Task

Each student will choose one of the following:

- Hurricane

- Tornado

- Earthquake

-Tsunami

1)Each student is then responsible for researching and gathering information about the chosen topic.

2)The group will come back together and each team member will teach the group  about what they have learned.

3)When that is completed, each group is to make a graph to help show the answers to the questions: What Natural Disaster lasts the longest? What Natural Disaster happens the quickest?

This graph will then be presented to the class.

Process

Step 1- Each team member needs to pick a topic.

Step 2- You will use only the links provided to do research on your topic. Take notes. The notes will be handed in at the end.

Step 3- When all team members are done, talk together as a group about what you discovered on your topic.

Step 4- Use the information shared to construct a graph. This graph will compare each natural disaster and the amount of time each usually lasts.

This graph will then be shown to the rest of the class where you will share your findings. And answer the questions: Which natural Disaster lasts the longest? Whcih Natural Disaster happens the quickest?

Conclusion

Each natural disaster has it's own effect on the world. Although we try to think these storms are able to be tracked and give us heads-up, that is not the case. These storms are unpredictable. We can narrow down when we think they will happen, but we rarely get a heads-up. Each storm has its own impact on places all around the world.
