Milsim - Owen hill

Introduction

Milsim is what it sounds like. It is a simulation of a military exercise. There are a lot of different ways that you can milsim. You can milsim with air soft, paint ball, etc. milsims are fun and they get your mind off of everything. Watching milsims is very cool, you get to see different types of styles of BDUs. BDUs are battle dress uniforms. Me and my milsim friends wear ACU digital fatigues and black tactical gear.

Your squad is at building (Shipping) and you have to advance to building (Oil Ministry), but enemy forces are pushing all of your flanks and your building. What do you do? Do you defend, or do you do you advance?

Task

What is the best way to keep your squad alive? You have to make the best decision. Your first thought is to surround the flanks and every exit. But you only have 16 people in your squad.

1) Head count

2) Positions

3) Back up plans

Process

Activity 1 : Placement

You have 2 m60's. Place them at the entrances, so that they can cover the front and back. Send medics to a safe location in the buildin. If they get hit, your squad does have a med system and they have to wait five minutes until respon. So it is important to hide your medic. Sniper / Marksman needs to be on roof or top floor. They need to stop the long range renforcements.

Activity 2. Coverage

You need to find your location on the map that you have. Position your squad at an angle where you can cover your team mate as he runs across the open field. Then let the m60's cover your squad as they run. The marksman goes first so that he can cover from the other side.

Activity 3. Reading

You have an objective to do. The milsim associates gave you the objective before the game started. The objective is to plant a bomb in the presadential palace. Get to the oil ministry. Once you get there you have to set up a defensive position. You have to flank the enemy position. When your team is ready to go out of the oil ministry your team advances to the to the faulty housing. Next, your squad oves into the CSU building. One person in the squad needs to be the one that arms the bomb.

Evaluation

Print this out and make a route from the shipping building, oil ministry, CSU faulty housing, and the CSU East and West building. Make a checkpoint for the team mates that get hit and go back to the friendly FOB. FOB stands for Forward Operating Base. It is the friendly respon.

Conclusion

Once you finish the activity you can plan some more cenerios that are easier or harder than mine. You can extend my webquest if you want to make this lesson longer. For all you milsim fans please go and check out RWMilsim, Lone Tree Milsim, and DesertFoxAirsoft. They do a lot of milsims and they are really good milsimers.

I have been doing milsims since I was 5. I have always done them with other friends, and I think that they are fun and perfect for all ages. The reason I wanted to make this webquest is to help people that want to milsim learn more about the game and the best ways to play it. I think that everyone should play. If i have something on my mind i go out and get Eli and we milsim, it get everything off of my mind.[img_assist|nid=36455|title=milsim|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=0|height=0]
