Matilda Reading Comprehension

Introduction

This is to help you comprehend what you are reading.  In order to help you remember the main points in the story, highlight or write down plot details or other information you want to remember.  You can think about this information after you have finished reading.

Task

Students will start reading Matilda.  Before reading, I will tell them to make a "map" of main characters and events in a chapter.  After students read the first chapter, they will be asked to look at notes they made to write a summary.  Students will then complete a worksheet and keep adding to their notes as they continue to read.  The worksheet will include vocabulary and comprehension questions. Students need to go to the online quiz as well to take an additional Metilda quiz.
