Introduction

Living things have a variety of external features

There are lots of different living things, plants, animals, and people!

They are all different, and they all look different.

Task

You will be split up into groups and each group will be given  a living thing, plants, people or animals

The plants groups will pick a plant they like and research what it looks like.

The people groups will research what kinds of parts a person has, e.g. arms, legs head (nothing rude please!)

The animal group must choose an animal and research what it looks like

Process

The plants groups will pick a plant they like and research what it looks like.

They will need to detail the parts that make up the plant, as well as the different kinds of that plant you can find.

They will need to create a diagram of their plant

The people groups will research what kinds of parts a person has, e.g. arms, legs head (nothing rude please!)

They will need to detail all those parts of a person's body

They will create a diagram of a person  to display

The animal group must choose an animal and research what it looks like

They will need to detail the parts of the animal and what different species of animal there are

Their diagram will show all these details

Evaluation

Students will be evaluated on their completed diagram

Conclusion

You have completed your task and now you can see that all living things have different parts!
