Literary Detectives

Introduction

Literary Detectives

First Grade Literary WebQuest Adventure

Welcome! You are now an official L.D.I.T! (Literary Detective In Training) If you choose to accept this challenge, you will go through many training obstacles which require you to really know your literary stuff! By the end of this mission, you will be a certified Literary Detective and ready to accept your own cases. Good luck!

Task

Your mission is to analyze each story assigned to you in order to gain knowledge and understanding of the case. You will work with your assigned teammates to solve each individual case in order to move on to being a real Literary Detective. You should be able to discuss with your teammates why you chose the answers that you did and support your answers. Pay close attention to the details!

Process

  • See your teacher for team assignments
  • Meet with your group members and come up with a code name for each detective -- don't let everyone know your undercover name!
  • Listen to 3 stories and record your answers on paper
  • Discuss your answers with your group and talk about what you found to be important
  • Turn in your paper at the end of 3 stories to receive your Official Literary Detective badge
